Laparoscopy

Laparoscopy

Laparoscopy, also known as keyhole or minimally invasive surgery, allows our surgeons to diagnose and treat conditions inside the abdomen and pelvis through small incisions, using a camera and specialised instruments. This generally means less pain, a shorter hospital stay, and a quicker return to normal activity compared to open surgery. It uses smaller incisions than traditional open surgery, laparoscopy typically means less scarring, reduced post-operative pain, and faster recovery time, allowing patients to return to their daily lives sooner.

Investigating unexplained abdominal or pelvic pain, and other conditions that are difficult to diagnose through imaging alone.
